Help with the systems behind your church or charity.

I'm Charlie. I help churches and charities with IT, systems and processes, from getting a new team member set up to reviewing how things work as your organisation grows.

How it works

How we get started.

  1. 1

    Tell me what needs help

Tell me what's taking up time, what's stopped working, or what your team is trying to change.

  2. 2

    Agree the work and price

We'll decide what to tackle, what I'll do and what it will cost before work starts.

  3. 3

Do the work and hand it over

I'll carry out the agreed work, walk your team through any changes and agree what support is needed afterwards.

How I can help

What needs sorting out?

You might need someone to get a new starter set up, untangle a recurring admin job, or review whether your systems can support a growing team. I can help with the review and the work that follows.

Systems and processes

Has your team outgrown the way things work?

I'll look at what you're using, talk through where work gets stuck and recommend what to keep, connect or change. We can then agree which changes you'd like help putting in place.

Ask about a review

IT help and onboarding

Getting staff and volunteers set up with the accounts and tools they need, and helping when something stops working.

Systems and process reviews

Looking at the tools you use, how work moves between people and what needs to change as your organisation grows.

Recurring admin

Sorting out jobs that involve copying information, chasing updates or remembering the same steps every week.

Websites and software

Updating your website, connecting existing tools or building something for a job your current software cannot handle.

Ongoing support

Help with updates, fixes, decisions and the awkward digital jobs that never quite get done.

AI use and guidance

If your team is using AI, I can help review where it fits and write down how staff and volunteers should use it.

Systems and process reviews

A look at how your church or charity works today, where things get stuck and what needs to change as you grow.

Good when you need

  • A review of your current tools and processes
  • Recommendations for what to keep or change
  • An order for making those changes

I can help put the recommendations into practice as a separate piece of work.

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Email me with your question.

Who will we work with? +

You'll work with me, Charlie. I'm a software engineer and creative, and I run Talesoft Digital. I work with churches and Christian charities on their IT, systems, processes and websites.

Can you do the work as well as advise? +

Yes. I can review how things work and recommend changes, help put those changes in place, or take on a specific job. We'll agree what you need help with before starting.

Can you work with our existing software? +

I'll start by looking at what you already use and where it's causing problems. That may mean changing how a tool is set up, connecting it to another system or recommending a replacement. The recommendation depends on what I find.

What if we don't know what we need? +

Tell me what's taking too much time, what keeps going wrong or what you're trying to change. You don't need a technical brief to get in touch.

Can we start with one job? +

Yes. You can bring me a single problem, such as getting a new team member set up or sorting out a recurring admin task. We can discuss further help if you need it.

What does ongoing support cover? +

It can include IT help, onboarding, website updates and improvements to your systems and processes. We'll agree the jobs, availability and cost for your team before starting.

Do we need to use AI? +

No. AI might come up if it's relevant to a job or your team already uses it. I can also help with guidance for staff and volunteers, but you don't need an AI project to work with me.

How much will it cost, and how long will it take? +

That depends on the work. I'll agree a price and timescale with you before starting, including any review or handover involved. If the scope changes, we'll discuss what that means for the price and timing.

Working with me

  • You'll work directly with me, from the first conversation through to the handover.
  • We'll agree what needs doing and how I'll keep you updated.
  • You can describe the problem in your own words. I'll help work out what it needs.
  • We'll agree the price before work starts, and discuss any changes to the scope.
